Q. Do you use “toxic” chemicals in or around my home?

We use only EPA registered pesticides that are labeled for use in and around homes. We also use the least toxic pesticide that is available to control the targeted pest and apply it according to label directions.

Q. How much does it cost?

Rates for our services vary by the amount of area to be treated.

Q. Are re-treatments included?

Yes, as long as the account is current and the service schedule is uninterrupted, re-treatments for covered pest problems are done at no charge. See the service agreement for covered pest and other problems.

Q. Are lengthy contacts required?

No, we offer one time applications that do not require a service contract.

Q. Why is year-round Control the Smart Option?

Pests just don’t go away during the cooler months. In fact, it is during colder times of the year that pests seek the shelter and food. While pests are a viable part of our ecosystem, they can cause significant structural damage to your home and pose health threats to your family and pets.

Q. Why was I charged full price when only the outside service was done?

The amount of money you pay per service is for a pest management program. Not every time that we do a service does the inside of your home need to be treated. We will try to build a barrier around the outside of your home to keep the pests from coming in. If you are having a problem inside we can come out and do the inside.

Q.Why did we do an exterior treatment in the winter when there are no pests outside?

The winter service is designed to protect your home from interior pests and ensure that pests have not penetrated our barrier. If you are having a problem inside the home we can come back and treat the inside.

Q. What’s going to be done on my next service?

Depending on what time of year it is:

Winter – do an interior inspection of the home to look for pests that might be harboring in the home over the winter and treat if needed, make sure that the home has adequate insulation, moisture conditions that could lead to or contribute to an infestation, and for any potential pest entry points.
We will treat pest interception points – thresholds, windows, attached garages, and pest harborage areas – exposed sill plates, wall voids, pipe chases.

Spring – do an interior inspection of the home to look for evidence of ants, termites, and mosquito breeding areas and potential harborage areas and exclusion opportunities.
We will treat the exterior perimeter focus’ on mulch beds and other ant hot spots, pest interception points – around doors, windows and under siding.

Summer – do an inspection on the outside looking for evidence of ants, bee’s wasps and hornet activity and nests, termites, mosquito breeding and harborage areas. Do an interior inspection looking for evidence of termites, moisture conditions that could lead to or contribute to an infestation.
We will treat the exterior perimeter, pest interception points – around doors, windows, and under siding.

Fall – do an interior inspection looking for potential rodent entry points, potential over-wintering pest entry points, evidence of termites, congregating over-wintering pests (ladybugs, boxelder bugs, cluster flies) and exclusion opportunities.
We will treat for pest interception points under siding, garage thresholds and an exterior perimeter for crawling pests (crickets, ground beetles).

Q. Why do we schedule and call them, why don’t we wait for the customer to call and schedule their service?

You may call us on your scheduled month and let us know when you would prefer service if you like. If we do not hear from you, you will receive a call three days prior to your service to let you know the day and time that we will be in your area. If that day is not good for you please give us a call and we will be more than happy to reschedule with you.
Another option would be to find a day and time frame that is best for you and we can set your services. So if you were available on Friday’s only between 12-2 we would only schedule your services on a Friday between twelve and two. We will still call you to make sure that the day and time are good.

Q. Why can’t I wait until next month to take my service?

We try to keep you on a pattern in order to keep the barrier up and to maintain the Pest Management around your home.

Q. Do we need to come in and do a treatment on the inside?

Depending on the time of year, if you are not having a problem inside the home then we don’t really need to, we could do an exterior treatment.
